Team workshop: Clarifying and shaping collaboration together

Our team workshops provide time and structure to look at both factual issues and interpersonal dynamics. Teams reflect on their current situation and work together on the issues that shape their collaboration.

A Coachingwerk team workshop creates a shared space in which people consciously take a closer look at how they work together. They pause, talk to each other and focus on what is important at the moment. Exchange becomes possible, tensions can become visible and new perspectives emerge.

As a moderated work process, a team workshop helps to work on issues of collaboration, role clarity, communication and alignment – with external moderation and responsibility for content and results within the team. The aim is to create clarity, orientation and concrete agreements for collaboration.

For which teams a workshop makes sense

A Coachingwerk team workshop is aimed at:

  • new teams, departments or divisions
  • Existing teams and organizational units
  • Project and working groups
  • Management and management teams
  • Teams in change or clarification processes

Our team workshops are aimed at teams of 5 to 40 participants from business, administration and non-profit organizations. From a group size of 12 participants, we can conduct the workshop with two coaches on request.

For larger departments or areas with 40 to 500 participants, we offer our workshop format as a large group moderation with several coaches.

Typical occasions for a team workshop

These occasions often form the starting point for a joint reflection process:

  • if there is a need for improvement in cooperation
  • for role and task clarifications
  • the desire for better communication and constructive feedback
  • for an understanding of common values
  • to strengthen the sense of unity
  • in dealing with conflicts
  • to accompany change processes and management changes
  • for strategic alignment and orientation

Not every development need in a team can be clarified in a single workshop. Depending on the issue, a different suitable format may be required:

In an initial discussion, we clarify together which of our team development formats offers the right framework for your concerns.

Effective team coaching with Coachingwerk

What happens in a Coachingwerk team workshop

In our team workshop, we guide your team through a moderated process in which collaboration, communication and roles are consciously considered and worked on together. Our moderation combines three essential building blocks consisting of analysis, processing and securing results. The focus is on:

  • Joint consideration of the current team situation
  • Open exchange about expectations, roles and communication
  • Structured processing of the topics currently relevant to the team

Depending on the issue, we often work on two to four key topics in the workshop, which are prioritized and explored in greater depth together.

Our attitude: How we understand collaboration

In team development, we see collaboration as a joint learning and clarification process. In unserem Teamworkshop betrachten wir Ihr Team als eigenständiges System, das seine Lösungen selbst entwickeln kann, wenn ein geeigneter Rahmen vorhanden ist.

Our attitude is appreciative and impartial. These principles guide us in every phase of the workshop. Different perspectives, roles and experiences have their place with us and are consciously included without being evaluated or prioritized. This attitude characterizes our moderation and forms the basis for the work in the team workshop.

Our role in external moderation

In the team workshop, we provide professional moderation, ensure a clear framework, a structured approach and respectful interaction.

Our role includes:

  • Structuring the process
  • Involving all stakeholders
  • Enabling reflection and exchange

We control the process – the responsibility for the content and the decisions deliberately remain with the team. This ensures a clear demarcation between process responsibility and responsibility for content.
