Vocational orientation for pupils and young people

What professioal career should I pursue? What am I so passionate about that I could make it my profession? Should I study at a university or rather do a vocational training? What is important to me when choosing a career? Joy, self-fulfilment, the prospect of a high income, career opportunities or job prospects?

Young people who have just graduated from school find it increasingly difficult to answer these questions. Because the options are becoming more diverse every year: universities offer increasingly specialised Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses, new training formats and job profiles emerge – others disappear. School leavers have to make decisions about their future without having an overview of all theoptions and without knowing how the job market will change in the coming years. This uncertainty and pressure among the young people.

Experience has shown that those graduates who carefully research and assess their career choices and who reflect on their personal reasons and motivations will act more effectively and successfully in their professional field.

With job coaching methods we can help young people in the Cologne area to answer the above and many other questions to provide individual orientation in their search for a suitable job. In the end, the young person can base his / her decision for a vocational training or university course on criteria such as personal skills, interests, strengths and job prospects.
